Moody’s expects Russia’s GDP to fall 5.5% in 2020
MOSCOW, Apr 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) will contract by 5.5% in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it will swing into a 2.2% growth in 2021, international rating agency Moody’s said in a statement on Tuesday.
Many countries, including Russia, took strict measures to prevent spreading of the virus, but the restrictions reduced economic activity noticeably, the agency said.
